JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Late Tuesday night, Action News confirms the Jacksonville Jaguars have hired a new head coach, former offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Mike Mularkey.

It is safe to say fans have something to say about the big hire.

Many say they are a bit surprised the decision came so quickly. After all, it happened--seemingly--in the blink of an eye.

"Maybe a little quick.  But if you like him, you like him," said fan Raymond Csensich.

Jaguar Nation is rushing to catch their breaths. Change after change, hire after hire, the momentum surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars is rising to a new and exciting level.

"I think Mr. Kahn knows what he is doing," fan Derrick Robinson said of the quick choice.

Shahid Kahn came first, stepping in as new owner. And with just a week of work under his belt, he has brought on Mularkey as new head coach. Fans are a little surprised by the choice, but say they are staying optimistic. After all, this is just another in a long list of changes that need to happen to get the Jags ready to be a top contender come next season.

"There's an excitement around Kahn that we haven't seen before so all we have to do now is win," said Csensich.

With the choice of a Head Coach, the Jags needed to make a big Splash; instead they made a little splish.

After keeping Gene Smith, only an idiot was going to take this job. His son has been in the personnel department and therefore is somewhat responsible for all the draft bust this team has. I rest my case.
