JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It began with bringing your own food to the game and now tickets are only $20. There's really no excuse for not getting to a Jags game.
There's nothing better than the excitement of game day at Ever Bank field. And now for the very first time, Jags fans can get their hands on tickets for just $20. "That's really enticing for a lot of people because the tickets are so expensive. It'll encourage more fans to come especially if they're going to lower the price or make some incentives," says Anna Yazden and Allison Tinsley.
Fan Tim Sterner says, "I'm all for it. Best thing is let's do something for the city, and get people involved and get them here."
Jaguars President Mark Lamping says almost every Sunday they end up with nearly 500 last minute ticket returns. He told Action News he didn't want them to go to waste. "You don't know where the tickets are going to be, they may be single tickets, but you'll get in and you'll get in for a very low price of just $20," says Lamping.
So here's how it works. Fans can go to the Jaguar ticket office the Saturday before a home game and buy up to four tickets at just $20 a piece. Lamping says, "We have a number of seats throughout the stadium that are just a single seat. Like of you have a row of 9 seats, it might be the one seat in the middle that people don't want to buy, we just don't want to see them go unused."
Lamping says the coin toss tickets are ideal for fans who are flexible over the weekend. He says the main goal of the coin toss tickets is to reach as many Jaguar fans as possible. "We want to see as many people in ever bank field as we can because it will create hopefully a very good home game advantage," he says.
The first coin toss tickets will be available tomorrow. Go to the ticket window between 9 a.m. and 2p.m.
