JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- It's no big secret the Jacksonville Jaguars don't have a winning record. And fans are starting to get frustrated.

But what does team pride really do for a city? Action News is getting your questions answered.

"Its a struggle," said Jags fan Baker Madison of the season so far. "I think they're on the right path, it's just going to take some time."

Jaguars fans are feeling pretty beaten and bruised. Everyone had high hopes going into this season. Most say so far, it's been a let down.

"Obviously its easier to puff out our chest when you win," said Sports Mania Manager Jeff Fingland.

But Action News wanted to find out how team pride correlates with city pride. Who better to ask than the city's top dog.

We asked Mayor Alvin Brown if he thinks the city morale is down because the Jaguars' morale is down.

"I think people love the Jaguars. We love our Jaguars just like I do you, can't have a better fan than Alvin Brown--so obviously when you lose a game you're disappointed, but it gives us an opportunity to focus on Sunday."

Mayor Brown is staying positive. But folks living in this city can read the writing on the wall.

Action News asked Devon Hitch if she thinks enough people that live here are proud to say they live in Jacksonville.

"They are getting there," she said. "The better the team gets, the better the fans are."

Madison does think city pride is down.

"I don't know if its because of the Jaguars, it helps when they're winning," he said. "I just think the overall economy is bad what's going to go on in November. There's a lot of questions out there as to which way we're going."

Most agree Jacksonville is a town in waiting, sitting dormant until that one big play to put us on the map.

"This city is waiting to go crazy for a winner. I think the pride is there the support is there," said Fingland. "It's hard to jump up and down pound your chest losing 27-10."
