JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- "The Jacksonville Jaguars will represent this community, the National Football League as London's home franchise for the next four years as the part of our international series," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday.

It seems like everyone's all in when it comes to the Jaguars going international. Owner Shad Khan and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement Tuesday in a ball room over looking EverBank Field, that the Jaguars will play a home game in London, starting next season.

Jags owner Shad Khan says, "This is absolutely a privilege for me the Jaguars and Jacksonville to present the NFL overseas and I think we will do a great job and make the NFL proud."

Among Goodell and Khan, other supporters of the global decision in the room were Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll and Mayor Alvin Brown. "It really is an opportunity to market our city, talk about our assets, all the good things we got going here," says Mayor Brown.

The Jags will now play nine games at home, instead of 10. And although fans will lose a home game in October, the change will also cut the price of season tickets by 10 percent.

Mayor Brown says the city is all in with this decision even though it will slightly affect the stadium lease to the Jags. "We support a game in London. City council introduced it, I signed it and approved it."

And Khan believes this opportunity will highlight the Jaguars and the city of Jacksonville. "The key point is to sell Jacksonville to the world. We are a well kept secret and I think after today thats not going to be the case," says Khan. The date of the London 2013 game and the opponent will be announced in the next few months.

This could be how it all starts one game here another game there and eventually the London Jaguars are a new team leaving Jax with none.

Now the question is: Will it be a 'jolly good show'(?)

I believe we are being very short sighted, I think there are much bigger plans at work here by the new Jaguars owner. Not to far down the road we will see the London or Madrid Jaguars and Jacksonville will not play any part of Mr. Kahn's plans except as a stepping stone to his vision for his, not our Jaguars and the NFL.
