NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars are finally winners, beating the Tennessee Titans today in Nashville for the team's first win of the season.

The Jaguars (0-8) haven't won a game since beating the Titans (4-4) nearly one year ago.

The game got off  to a good start.  The Titans fumbled the ball on the first drive.

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew motored into the end zone to give the Jaguars a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter.

The score marks only the second time this season that the Jaguars have scored a touchdown in the first half.

Josh Scobee added a field goal to make it 10-0, the largest lead of the season for the Jaguars.  He's made 11 straight field goals without a miss this year.

The Jaguars have averaged 349 yards of offense in the last four games.  The team will have to win without wide receiver Justin Blackmon, who has been suspended indefinitely.

Right before halftime Titans quarterback Jake Locker left the game with a foot injury and Ryan Fitzpatrick came in and went 5 of 5 for 53 yards and a touchdown cutting into the Jags lead. Currently at the half the Jags lead 13-7.

Maurice Jones-Drew has 35 yards on 14 carrries.

The Jaguars with plenty of help from Titans penalties came out and drove the football the length of the field to start the second half and grab a 20-7 lead. Jordan Todman did the honors with a 5 yard touchdown run.

The Jaguars took a two score lead into the fourth quarter, but a Chad Henne pick allowed the Titans to pull within a touchdown at 20-13 with about 13 minutes to play. The Jaguars are trying to snap a 13 game losing streak dating back to last season.

After the Titans pulled within two following a Fitzpatrick touchdown, the Jags defense sealed the deal when Will Blackmon took the football away from the Titans quarterback and returned it for a touchdown.

The Jaguars scored a season high 29 points and get their first win of the season beating their old rival Titans 29-27.

On the day Maurice Jones Drew had 41 yards on 21 while Henne threw for 180 yards. This day belonged to the Jags defense which forced four turnovers and held Chris Johnson to 30 yards rushing.

The Jags are now (1-8) and are back home next Sunday against Arizona.

OK you got lucky and caught the Titans on a bad day, that's still not a good reason for a new score board.
