JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The next time you pack Everbank Field, look around.
No longer is football just a man's game.
"Women are really taking over as far as fans are concerned," Blythe Brumleve said.
Brumleve is a member of the official Jaguars women's fan club. The organization started it in February and has already gotten feedback from around the country.
"I had women from other fan bases contacting me, saying how jealous they were that we got to do this kind of stuff and they wish their team had the same kind of access," Brumleve continued.
For $50, you get a membership card, a tote bag, a charm bracelet and a koozie, among other things.
"I think it's a great idea. I think it should definitely spread across the other leagues. We need more women," said Yinette Sanchez.
The latest numbers show women are here to stay. According to the club, 51 percent of women make up the Jaguars fan base, up from years past. It's a trend that Brumleve says we better get used to.
Women make up 45 percent of the fan base overall. As for the NFL fan base and every other fan base for any other sports, it's growing as well.
