GREEN BAY, WI.--The Jacksonville Jaguars hung with the Green Bay Packers until late in the 4th quarter before falling to (1-6) after the 24-15 loss. The Jaguars trailed by two points at the start of the fourth quarter and by six with 30 seconds to play.

Blaine Gabbert outplayed MVP Aaron Rodgers en route to his first 300 yard passing game. It's the first 300 yard passing game since David Garrard did it against Houston in the Mike Thomas Hail Mary game. Gabbert's final numbers are 27 of 49 for 303 yards and a touchdown to offensive tackle Guy Whimper. Gabbert said, "There are no moral victories in the NFL, nobody feels good in that locker rioom." When asked about his shoulder Gabbert said, "After the first day of training camp you are never 100 percent." Cecil Shorts III had 12 catches for 116 yards, all part of the first 100 yard receiving game for the second year pro.

The defense welcomed back John Chick to his defensive end position. Chick didn't show up on the stat line but he helped keep the other guys fresh. Rookie Andre Branch forced a fumble and recovered the ball for a turnover. Jeremy Mincey had the other sack. It's two straight games the Jaguars have come up with multiple sacks.

The Jaguars will take on the Detroit Lions next Sunday at Everbank Field.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars are making plays in Green Bay. This was a 14-12 Packers lead to start the 4th quarter, but the Packers now lead 21-12. The Jaguars got a break when the Packers hit the post on a field goal try. Blaine Gabbert is matching MVP Aaron Rodgers play for play. Guy Whimper the offensive tackle has a touchdown reception. It's a great team effort in one of the hardest places to play in the NFL.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Jaguars are hanging in there at Lambeau Field. It's starting to slip away with 8:45 to play in the first half. Green Bay just blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. It's the 70th turnover the Packers have forced at Lambeau since 2009. That's incredible. A Rashad Jennings fumble at the Green Bay 19 yard line the series before cost the Jags at least 3 points.

It's a tough place to play but Blaine Gabbert had better numbers than MVP Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter. That is saying something since both Derek Cox and Rashean Mathis are not playing.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- There is a steady stream of Jacksonville Jaguars heading to the equipment room to get cold weather gear for this afternoons kick with the Green Bay Packers.

It's chilly right now, but there will be blue skies and sunshine for the game.

We are expecting a slight breeze and temps in the high 40s and low 50s for the 1 p.m. Kickoff on CBS47.

The Jaguars made some roster moves on Saturday. John Parker Wilson is up just in case there is an emergency at quarterback with the Blaine Gabbert shoulder injury. They also activated John Chick to give some depth to the defensive line. The Jaguars will need fresh legs to keep Aaron Rodgers moving in the pocket.

This is the toughest challenge the Jaguars will face all season.

Rashad Jennings gets his chance to step in for the injured Maurice Jones-Drew at running back.

Brent Martineau has a sit down interview with Rashad on the Jaguars pregame show.

Brian Sexton and Jeff Lageman break down the keys to the game and I have a look at how the Jags need to channel their "inner Lombardi" to try and win a game that has them listed as 16 point underdogs.

Check us out for the post game reaction on Action Sports 360 after the World Series on FOX30 and at 11:20 on CBS47. We debut a new virtual set that is the coolest in Jacksonville.
