JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have made a couple of roster moves. First, the team placed rookie guard Mike Brewster on injured reserve with a hand injury. The team also signed second-year running back Keith Toston.
Toston, 6-0, 214, played for the Jaguars during the game against Green Bay. He played running back and on special teams. He returned two kickoffs for 49 yards against the Packers. Toston spent the 2012 preseason with the Jaguars before being waived then re-signed. He rushed for 171 yards on 22 carries in the preseason including a 42-yard touchdown run at New Orleans.
The Angleton, Texas native was a four-year letterman at Oklahoma State where he finished with 2,757 career rushing yards and 27 touchdowns. Toston was a first-team All-Big 12 selection as a senior, ranking second in the conference with 1,218 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. He attended Angleton High School where he was a finalist for the Old Spice National High School Player of the Year award as a senior.
Toston will wear jersey number 35.
