JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A jury has convicted a man of breaking into a Jacksonville Beach home, attempting to shoot the homeowner and stealing multiple electronics.

In March 2012, Nicholas Duane Warren and James Taylor broke into a Jacksonville Beach home.  The two suspects beat the homeowner, Matthew Longhway, with a crowbar and tried to shoot him twice but the gun jammed.

After beating Longhway, Warren took several TV's, a laptop and other electronics from the home.

A jury convicted Warren, 23, on charges of Attempted Felony Murder and Armed Robbery. Warren faces mandatory life in prison and his sentencing date will be set on September 17, 2012.

Taylor, Warren's co-defendant, also pled guilty to the same charges and his sentencing date will be set on August 27, 2012.
