JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville City Council voted to approved a measure Tuesday night urging Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature to amend a state statute regarding manufactured buildings and mobile homes.
The city wants the state to allow local governments more authority when it comes to various land use and zoning requirements regarding manufactured buildings.
Copies of the legislation will be forwarded to the Governor's office, the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, the President of the Florida Senate and to the members of the Duval County delegation.
