JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- President Barack Obama spoke inside JAXPORT's cruise terminal, where hundreds gathered, as he made big promises. One promise was to spend the last 1,266 days of his presidency with a laser focus on our economy.

The president's highly anticipated visit to Jacksonville was met with an energized crowd of hundreds inside Jaxport's cruise terminal. The president delivered his message for about 30 minutes. His focus was two-fold: stimulating the economy, and creating jobs.

"We've got to stay focused on how to build an economy that works for everybody, that's my focus," he said. We've got to create more jobs like you have right here in Jaxport."

The president says there is one major factor holding back progress, for the nation and the people of Jacksonville, and that's partisanship in Washington.

"Making sure we have infrastructure is not a partisan issue, it's an American issue," said the president.

One Republican spectator Action News spoke to agrees.

"There's a gridlock in Washington and they need to get their act together for our citizens, but we're doing everything we can do, I believe it," said Leslie Smith.

Action News sifted through the large crowd to find other people passionately praising the president's ideas.

"He did a fabulous job making sure he was communicating a very strong message," said Catherine Barnes.

"I liked his forecast of the economy and how he thought Jacksonville was going to play a role with logistics and ports," said Holly Brucks.

Obama is hoping this six-week campaign, touting these issues, will help Washington become more focused.

Trust a President who thinks it ok to disarm citizens and that they should not be allowed to fight back against attackers on the street. When seconds count he wants you to wait 5 mins or more for most police to arrive in time. After all what does he care. His family has best protection that can be had all well armed.
