JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaxport announced new plans to deepen its harbor.
It wants to dredge to a depth of at least 47 feet but needs permission from the federal government first.
The move would allow bigger ships to move through the St. Johns River.
Jaxport will be releasing more details in May.
