JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- If you like great music, a chill atmosphere, and the breeze of a spring night Jacksonville is the place for you this weekend.

Starting Thursday the Jazz Festival kicks off in the heart of downtown.

"We're trying to make this happen and something bigger and better every single year," Katie Kurycki said.

According to Visit Jacksonville, the Jazz Festival is expected to rake in big bucks. With top talent, and a variety of stages it's not hard to see how.

"That has a huge impact for locals. About $20 million for economic impact for the city and about $2.6 million economic impact for visitors alone coming into the area," Kurycki continued.

Burrito Gallery knows the benefits firsthand. They made a killing last year, and expect to this time as well.

"That really helps the retailers like us out. It's just a smart move and a great atmosphere," Tony Allegretti said.

In addition to jazz, you can also go a few blocks away and catch a great game. The U.S. Men's soccer team is taking on Scotland in a friendly expected to draw in record numbers.

People are already starting to pack out hotels.

"We are getting very close to every area of the city having hotels full. Having an amazing amount of visitors in the city," Kurycki said.

No matter what you're into there'll be something for everyone this weekend. Allegretti encourages you not to miss out.

"It's a fun city. It's a great downtown. There's no reason to miss this weekend," he said.
