He confessed, and wrote a letter apologizing to the victims, saying he was sorry and would never do it again and was depressed about his father's death. Sounds like a real violent, hardened criminal, right? He is 18 and was on probation, but so what? Just having a criminal record does not mean you are a "violent thug". So even though no gun was found, and no shots were ever fired at Dunn, you believe he was justified in killing a young man who was unarmed and not threatening him in any way? How insensitive can you be? A young man, who did NOTHING wrong, was shot in cold blood. Dunn could have killed all 4 people in the car! Then he left the scene and didn't even bother reporting these "dangerous armed" individuals to the police? And you buy that? Do you have any children, and could you imagine how the family of this young man feels? But you think its ok he's dead, he "got what he deserved" because he was disrespectful and hanging out with "thugs"? You really are a sad, pathetic excuse for a human being to jump to conclusions based on the facts in this case. There is a name for people like you, nativejax, and it ain't pretty.

Is there no limit to what the Davises will do to prevent an unbiased jury from being seated at Dunn's trial? If they had just limited their "trial by media" to NE Florida, the case could have been transferred to Central or South Florida where enough people might not know about the case to empanel a jury. However, seeking publicity through Jet magazine and now a Times Square production, they're undermining their goal of getting an unassailable conviction against Dunn. What idiots. They're giving Dunn an appealable issue even before the trial starts.

AND JAXFLDUMB, THE 2nd AMENDMENT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO PULL A GUN ON ANYONE FOR ANY REASON ANYWHERE. It only gives a citizen the right to OWN a weapon and (with a permit carry a weapon). NOT TO BE PULLED AND AND POINTED OVER ANYTHING YOUR STUPID MIND JUSTIFIES. If you think someone is "breaking the law" then you have the RIGHT to call the police or leave it be and walk away. I agree with truthseeker, the media is trying to make a THUG a martyr, Michael Dunn is a THUG with a gun who thinks everyone should do what he wants or they will get shot. They need to bring back public executions and hang Mr. Dunn. Maybe then cowards who think they are big men just because they have a handgun might think twice before trying to solve all their problems with a violence

Maybe if the news would do a freedom of information act request and reveal the video all of it people could make deterimination which side is honest. I hear alot rumors which I do not pay mind to they will come out in the trial as to whether they true or not. I don't think this kid's case is like the one in boot camp where ex police officers got away with murder. That is why though I want see the video for myself un edited un cut. To decide what happened because sometimes in our great state Justice is about politics rather than what truly happened. I have seen murders get life in prison ( not with out parole in the city of Jax) for excution style murders from convience store. Any claim of self defense should be followed and people should see any video evidence so they can know that justice is being served or in some cases corrupted by politics.

according to nativejax, guilt by association is now an excuse for killing un-armed teens. As we speak, fireworks are being shot off illegally in my neighborhood (yes that is a crime) and according to the gun lobby I have a God given right (2nd amendment)to confront these law breakers with a weapon. If they look at me wrong or talk back.....POW!! Shot first, run away then claim self defense. Why didn't I think of this earlier? Need a parking space at the mall? Shot the first person you see not wearing a seatbelt and take their spot. Crying baby in walmart? POW....wipe out the whole family. Is the person at the next table talking too loud on their cell phone? POW....shot 'em because I'm sure they're guilty of something. Don't worry about what they are guilty of, that's what attorneys are for.

Guess Mr. Dunn is going to find out that in Jacksonville, one has to prove their innocence. It's obvious the media thinks he's guilty.
