BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- The jury has convicted Guy Heinze, Jr. of beating and killing 8 people in 2009.

Heinze, 26, is convicted on all charges. Heinze killed his family, beat them to death inside the Brunswick trailer they all shared back in August of 2009.

Prosecutors did not identify a definite murder weapon or establish a clear motive.

Experts for the defense testified more than weapon was used. They said there had to have been more than one killer and that Heinze wasn't one of them.

The jury was forced to restart deliberations Friday after a juror was excused from the trial. The judge would not say why the juror was removed from the case.

Prosecutors say Heinze will not face the death penalty.  The sentencing date has not been released.

At least Georgia knows how to convict a killer.

This would have been a difficult case for the jury to get past "reasonable doubt". I thought the Defense did a good job, the prosecution was questionable but evidently good enough.
