Jury finds 18-year-old guilty of shooting at a vehicle in 2013
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A jury found a man from Jacksonville guilty this week after he shot at a vehicle in March 2013.
According to the State Attorney's Office, two females arrived at 18-year-old Aaron E. Wallace's home to get a Wii gaming system. Wallace shot at the vehicle the two females were in after they left his home. They did not have any injuries.
The jury found Wallace guilty of attempted aggravated battery and one count of possession of a firearm by a juvenile who committed a felony, according to the office.
Wallace did not comply with his probation when he shot at the vehicle for a prior felony battery charge, according to the state attorney. He will face more time for breaking that probation.
Wallace will spend a 20-year minimum mandatory sentence, according to the state attorney. Wallace will be sentenced during the week of Feb. 24.
