JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Justice Department and the city want to improve access to civic life for people with disabilities.

As part of the 5-year agreement, the department will ensure the city's compliance with ADA requirements.

The department reviewed 64 of the city's facilities, looking for necessary modifications to parking, restrooms, drinking fountains, sidewalks and other services. The agreement requires the city to correct deficiencies at those and hundreds of other facilities.
