JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sarah Mills remembers it like it was yesterday.

"It was Dec. 15, 2007. It was the day before my 25th birthday," she said.

It was the day her big her sister, Donna, was found dead inside her Westside apartment.  She had been shot while she was sleeping.

"A bullet went through her window and hit her in the chest and killed her instantly,"
said Sarah Mills.

The crime is eerily similar to the one that happened this past weekend. Two young girls were shot when someone fired into a Northwest Jacksonville home. Jazmine Shelton, 13, was killed.  Her friend, Megan Simmons, 14, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Mills said, "It brings back what happened that day. But then your heart just breaks for the families because I know what they're going through."

She says she can't help but to get angry when she hears senseless crimes like this continue to happen. "It's stupid.  I mean, it's just pure ignorance. Who would shoot into someone's home, you know, when you know there are people living there?  Innocent people."

She says all she can do is pray the gunmen are caught and pray that Jazmine and Megan's families don't have to wait for justice as long as she has.

"I pray for it everyday, multiple times a day. But I know that even if she doesn't get justice on earth. Her killer will be brought to justice," she said.

With the help of the Justice Coalition, Donna Mills' story has been featured on "America's Most Wanted." Her photo was put up on billboards. An $11,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her killer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-TIPS.
