JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- "Justice for Trayvon" vigils were held in cities across the country on Saturday, including ones in Jacksonville, Orlando and Daytona Beach.

The National Action Network organized the "Justice for Trayvon" vigils in over 100 U.S. cities.

The vigil in Jacksonville was held near the federal courthouse downtown, where hundreds showed up to show the support for the teenager.

Those participating in the vigils, included members from the Black Panther Party attended.

The vigils were planned following George Zimmerman's acquittal of second-degree murder.

An all female, six-person jury found Zimmerman not guilty on July 13.

The media is trying to start a race war between blacks and whites. Make white people out to be the bad guys because they know the blacks will start riots across the country and its working so far. All there reports are so one sided when it come to black on white crime.

A human being died needlessly, it doesn't matter if he was black or white. We will never know what happened, but must abide by the jurors decision as is the law of the land. This rally should not be just about Trayvon as we don't know who the antagonist was at the time of the shooting, only Zimmerman knows for sure. Regarding those who think the outcome would have been different if Trayvon had been white, you're probably right; there wouldn't have been a trial, the original police decision regarding the case would have remained, the police chief wouldn't have lost his job, and a white boy would be dead without so much as a key note in the news media.

When ar all these idiots going to figure out that justice has been served. Zimmerman wae tried and found not guilty, therefore justice has been served. And this case had nothing to do with stand your ground, it was strictly self defence.

When Obama comes to Jax next week he will probably pick up some purple lean to go with his pot. Go shopping for stolen women's jewelry in the lost section of the police department for the MRS. Then he can text Jacksonville locals looking for a 22 or 38 handgun from the streets. After that next stop school get in 3 fights and start all them. After that go beat the hell out snitch. After all Mr Martin is just like him. Why it could even been him lying on that ground after attacking Zimmerman. Exteme Sarcasim noted. Everyone turns a blind eye up to the no good this kid was doing he was not a "good" kid by any means. He was thug and now thugs are hero's worth standing up for. Makes honest people who don't rob and steal and do pot and purple lean sick that such person would be turned into a hero who needs justice done for them.

Why is it??? Black on black murder/crime….Not much is made of it…It's almost taken for granted!! And accepted!!! Seems to me that this is a "cultural" thing….
