"Justice for Trayvon" vigils held across the US
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- "Justice for Trayvon" vigils were held in cities across the country on Saturday, including ones in Jacksonville, Orlando and Daytona Beach.
The National Action Network organized the "Justice for Trayvon" vigils in over 100 U.S. cities.
The vigil in Jacksonville was held near the federal courthouse downtown, where hundreds showed up to show the support for the teenager.
Those participating in the vigils, included members from the Black Panther Party attended.
The vigils were planned following George Zimmerman's acquittal of second-degree murder.
An all female, six-person jury found Zimmerman not guilty on July 13.
