FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A K9 officer with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office died on Dec. 6.

Deputies said 12-year-old Gypsy came to the Sheriff's Office during Sheriff James L. Manfre's first term in April of 2003. Gypsy retired from active duty in 2009.

Why is it if a civilian hurts or even barks at police dog it's a crime, yet 2 police officer in past have left their dog intentionally in 100 plus weather and the dog dies no charge? If regular person did that they go to jail yet police officer do not go to jail for killing a fellow police officer. Why is that?
