JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Kid Care Report is on a weekly quest to keep an eye on the people and places you pay to watch your kids.

A recent visit by the state to Kidz Quest Academy Inc. on University Blvd. in Jacksonville shows a child care center missing the mark.

Some of the things problems here:
The bedding available was not safe and poses a threat to the health, safety or well-being of a child in care.
Some of the outdoor equipment was deemed not safe.
And there issues with the Background Screening Documents on some staff.
Kidz Quest had a total of four violations.

But a couple of centers in Jacksonville did make it through their inspections without any problems.  That puts them On The Mark.  Beverly Hills Development Center and Head Start at Fairfield, both in Jacksonville, wound up not having any violations.

Remember, if there's a center you'd like me to take a closer look at send an email to mspain@actionnewsjax.com.
