I'm the aunt of Dylan Robertson and I feel like it was very brave of him to go on tv and talk about the accident. Thank God him and the other children on the bus weren't seriously injured in the accident and they didn't see the family that was in the car that hit the bus. All the children are being counseled by their families and the school. My families prayers go out to the family of the victims for their terrible loss. And as for a child speaking about the accident it is something children and us adults see on an everyday bases on the news or any other programs out there on television. My concerns are with public safety for the residents of Middleburg. There has been many fatal accidents out here on our roads and something needs to be done about it before anymore tragedies like this happen in the future. All clay county residents need to speak up and get the county to step up and take action to fix and maintain our county roads. I've been a resident in Middleburg for over 20 years now and the county continues to neglect our needs to make our city safer for us and our children to live in.

MY PRAYERS GO OUT THE THE FAMILIES OF EVERYONE IN THIS ACCIDENT. I LOSE MY SON IN A CAR ACCIDENT, NEXT YR WILL BE TWO YEARS AND I FEEL THE HEARTACHE AND PAIN THAT THE PARENTS OF THE TWO PEOPLE LOST IN THIS ACCIDENT. THEY SAID THAT THERE WERE NO TIRE MARKS FROM WHERE SHE TRIED TO STOP, NO ONE KNOWS, MAYBE THE SUN WAS IN HER EYES AND SHE COULDN'T TELL THE BUS WAS STOPPED. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN TRAVELING ON BLANDING OR 103RD ST. AND SOMEONE STOPS UP AHEAD AND YOU CAN'T TELL OR SEE THE TAIL LIGHTS BECAUSE OF THE SUN. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL THE FAMILIES

Hitting a big yellow school bus is just carelessness. In this case, death. Drivers, BEWARE OF OUR KIDS/GRANDCHILDREN'S SAFETY. Prayers to the families of the deceased and injured.

In the preceding comment, I meant to write: "The only people who should be talking to that child right now are HIS parents," not "HER parents...."

First, why is a reporter talking to an 8-year-old child about an accident he witnessed in which (he now knows) a young woman died and her younger sister was seriously injured? The only people who should be talking to that child right now are her parents; a trained counselor; and the school principal. Second, given the gravity of the tragic accident, might we have a more respectful headline than "KID talks about fatal car crash?" Child, student, third-grader....any of these would have been more appropriate than the slangy term "kid." "KID talks about fatal car crash".... a too-casual and almost disrespectful title for an article about an accident resulting in the death of a young woman and the serious injury of her even-younger sister.

Turning off of Blanding at what street? I can't believe this was not mentioned in any of the report. Don't you think that's important to know??? If it's such a dangerous intersection, let everybody know!
