Lake City Police Department seeks robbery suspect
LAKE CITY, Fla. -- The Lake City Police Department is looking for a man who they say robbed a local shop with a knife Friday.
Police say a man entered Keaton's Bicycle Shop at 327 N. Marion Ave. at 4:28 p.m. and asked the store owner for tire patches before he flashed a knife and demanded cash out of the register.
The suspect ordered the store owner, 78-year-old Harry Bertram, to lay on the ground before he fled the store to his bicycle and rode north towards N.E. Franklin Street on N.E. Hernando Avenue.
Police describe the suspect as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his early 20s and wearing all black clothes with a khaki cap.
LCPD is asking anyone with information about this robbery to call police anonymously on the TIP line at 386-719-2068.
