Larger planes to service Gainesville Regional Airport
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- One of the nation’s largest airlines will soon service Gainesville Regional Airport with larger planes.
Delta Airlines says it plans on using planes with 76 and 110-seat capacities instead of the current 50-seat capacity planes on its routes.
The change means first class seating will be available, and passengers should expect an increase in legroom.
Gainesville will lose two daily flights in order to satisfy the equipment change, according to a press release.
The transition is expected to start in April.
