JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Local malls were packed with last minute shoppers this Christmas Eve.
There was an extra briskness in shoppers steps as they looked for that right gift. "I'm out here shopping today because I waited 'til the last minute to shop," said Kim Lee.
Shoppers like Andy Porter and his family are stocking up too. "We need a scarf. We need a book. We need that something special surprise that we haven't thought of yet," said Porter.
Everywhere you look, shoppers were carrying handfuls of bags, but they kept a smile on their face. "Last minute shopping, painless," said one shopper.
Shoppers say the crowds weren't too bad, but the parking gave them headaches. "There was not a parking place to be found, it's been hectic," said Lee.
The malls will re-open on Saturday.
