Lifeguard staffing to be reduced in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Starting next Tuesday, St. Johns County Fire Rescue will be decreasing lifeguard staffing levels on all St. Johns County beaches.

Lifeguard towers will no longer be staffed after Labor Day but, mobile truck patrols  will continue until mid-September.

Beach goers are asked to call 911 when an emergency arises.
