PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.--There is a Jacksonville Beach resident atop the leaderboard at THE PLAYERS.  David Lingmerth played 16 and 17 in 3 under par to take the lead when play was suspended due to darkness.

Lingmerth is 12 under par and leads three former champions by three shots.  Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson are 10 under par with a few holes to play.  Woods and Garcia are in a little bit of tiff after Garcia got upset with some noise from Woods gallery when he hit a shot on the second hole.  Those two are thru 14 holes and will finish Sunday morning.

Lingmerth missed five straight cuts coming in. He will play the 18th hole and wait to see what happens.  There was a lightning delay from 4:06 until 6:00.  They have some work to do to get this thing finished on Sunday.
