Who is still out there? Atlanta's David Caldwell is the clubhouse leader. The director of player personnel is also the leading candidate for the New York Jets general manager job. Mike Florio of
profootballtalk.com says the stumbling block for getting Caldwell is money.
Marc Ross, the director of college scouting for the New York Giants, is still a viable candidate with reports that San Francisco personnel guy Tom Gamble turned down a second interview.
