JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The "local" Nor'easter will finally slowly loosen its grip on Jacksonville, Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia allowing for some nice spring weather much of the rest of this week. Conditions will be slower to improve at the beaches where a high and dangerous rip current risk will continue through Tuesday. Gusty winds at and near the coast this evening will slowly decrease but Tuesday will still be breezy with onshore northeast winds of 15-25 mph versus 10-20 mph inland. Otherwise the rain is over and skies will clear tonight. Cool but nice temperatures to begin the day Tuesday -- in the 50s -- with afternoon highs in the mild 70s. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be 80+.
