ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Suns and three businesses are holding an event to raise money for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

"Spirit Night" is set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Chick-fil-A on Wells Road. The event will feature an appearance from "Southpaw," the mascot of the Jacksonville Suns. Chick-fil-A plans to donate 15 percent of its proceeds to buy books for the Sandy Hook library and the families of the victims of the December shooting.

The Books-A-Million on Wells Road is also participating. That outlet is giving a 20 percent discount on books purchased that day.

Just Kids Learning Center is sponsoring the event.
