JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Twelve is a popular number. There are 12 months in a year, 12 hours on a clock, 12 inches in a foot, and 12 days of Christmas.
And on 12/12/12, the Byrd family welcomed baby Parker.
"Growing up, it was a lucky number for me," said father Daniel, "so it's kind of ironic that he was born on the 12th."
Parker was almost born at 12:12 p.m. His parents had a C-section scheduled at St. Vincent's in Riverside on Wednesday, but at 12:03, mom Holly decided it was time.
"I wanted to wait, but at the same time I was too anxious, and I wanted to see him," she laughed.
Down the hall, baby Colin celebrated his birthday, too.
The number 12 isn't just lucky for his parents, Keith and Patricia Conner. It's a miracle because Patricia was told she'd never have children.
"There were complications at the beginning, and then at the end God just took care of all of it. They say he's a perfectly healthy baby, and nothing went wrong!"
For these parents, 12 is a number that will forever be special.
There were 69 babies born at Jacksonville area hospitals as of 10:30 p.m. on 12/12/12 including:
