JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- More than a dozen local residents, city leaders, educators and elected official met Friday morning to talk about a new plan to help young people stay out of trouble and avoid another Christmas Day melee.

Action News showed you video last week of the fights that broke out at the Hollywood theater.

Action News was there again, as city leaders tried to come up with a plan for unruly youth.

The first part of plan is launching a website to communicate with teens, but there's more.

Duval County School Board member Paula Wright says local leaders want to start a listening tour with high schools students where they can listen to their concerns.

Local leaders say they're also looking for more parent involvement

Leaders say this is just the start of their plan. They say they want to get more people involved and grow their plan.

want the problems to stop? Its easy: make the parent MONETARILY responsible for these cancerous scum thugs in training... if they have to pay, you better believe they will make sure thier "offspring" will stay in line a whole lot more. I say any violation an under 18 kid does, the parent is fined and that money is taken immediately from thier welfare checks. Problem ends.
