Local man accused of breaking into cars
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A man from St. Augustine is behind bars, accused of breaking into cars in St. Augustine.
The car burglaries took place within the past few weeks along Anastasia Boulevard.
According to the St. Augustine Police Department, 34-year-old Shawn D. Phillips broke into a car at a business' parking lot.
Police said they were given the description of a Toyota vehicle that matched what they saw during a recent car break-in.
Officials with the police department said Phillips was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stimulant that treats ADHD, adderoll, less than 20 grams of marijuana, and other items.
