Local terrorism suspect exploring plea deal
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The attorney for the man indicted on federal terrorism charges may explore a plea deal.
Shelton Thomas Bell, 19, is accused of conspiring to provide material support to terrorists and attempting to provide material support to terrorists.
A judge granted a motion for a 60-day continuance. Bell's attorney told WOKV he wanted the extra time to explore a possible plea bargain.
Bell will be back for a hearing on February 18. His trial is tentatively scheduled to begin around March 3.
