One act of abuse towards a child permanently changes the child's developing brain, forever. Magnify the damage by repeated attacks and then ask yourself, why a survivor of child abuse is never, ever the same. Yes, you can reclaim your life; I have after years of therapy and millions of other survivors have, as well. But don't forget the millions, billions of lives childhood abuse destroys worldwide that aren't able to take back their life.
