Main Street Bridge ramp to Hendricks Avenue closed
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Traffic patterns in Downtown Jacksonville changed permanently Sunday evening due to the Interstate 95 Overland Bridge project.
The Florida Department of Transportation closed the ramp from Main Street Bridge to Hendricks Avenue around 8 p.m. so that they can begin demolition.
The closure was originally scheduled for Monday but was postponed because of equipment problems and rain.
The FDOT suggests taking the Main Street Bridge to eastbound Prudential Drive in order to eventually get onto Hendricks Avenue.
The Overland Bridge project is an over $200 million construction job that is meant to improve the traffic flow along the Interstate 95 corridor, south of Downtown Jacksonville.
