Man accused of killing local mother returns to Jacksonville in handcuffs
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man accused of killing a young mother and abandoning their child has been extradited back to Jacksonville.
Jose Alfredo Jimenez-Valle was arrested in Palm Beach County and brought back to Duval County on Monday night. He is charged with murdering his wife, Rosa Garcia. She was found dead in their Don Quixote Circle home April 11.
The couple had a child that was left with a family member. That person told investigators Jimenez-Valle alerted the family that something had happened to Garcia before he disappeared. The pair worked at La Nopalera in Jacksonville Beach.
The cause of Garcia's death was not released.
