JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local man is behind bars tonight, accused of trying to pose as a federal agent.

A Clay County deputy pulled over Terrence Leon Pitts for speeding.

During the stop, he noticed Pitts was wearing a "drug enforcement agency" shirt and had a pair of handcuffs in a utility belt.

He told the deputy he left his ID badge at the station.

Pitts is unemployed.

Investigators think he had been posing as a federal agent for some time.
