Man accused of sexual battery on a child

ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Nelson Summerall was in the Avon Park Correctional Institution, but now he is facing more charges.

He was arrested after the sheriff's office received a report that Nelson may have touched a child in an inappropriate manner.

The victim was talking with her mother when she said Summerall, who used to stay with them, touched her inappropriately.  The girl also said he made her touch him.  She told investigators she didn't say anything because Summerall threatened to hurt her if she told anyone about what happened.

The Department of Children and Families is investigating the case.

Summerall has been charged with sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years of age.
