Looks like the Avenues wishes to be a free fire zone. Therefore, I'll keep my dollars, my CCW nad my sidearm out of the killing zone. Thanks for the heads up.

I think if he had a CWP, he would have produced it and that would've been the end and there would be no story here.

It is true apvbguy, but if you don't have a permit to carry, you CAN be arrested, private or public property or not...why would anyone take that chance? Just get the permit and STAY on the side of the law...then no problems. And anyway I have never heard of any 'danger' at the Avenues mall, it isn't like the Regency at all...yet.

there is no law against carrying a gun inside the mall, at worst the property owner can ask the gun carrier to leave. either there is a lot more to this story or this is a very bad arrest.

I have to agree with Gunny48 any one can get concealed carry permits now days. Look at the jerk not to far back that took his concealed weapon into cyber cafe dropped it like idiot, killed a woman and walked away scott free. This guy was up to no good with that weapon without a permit.

@Posterboi: he attracted attention by his "body language" and that was enough for the police to take it from there. I have no problem with the "stop" - he could very well be another lunatic. As far as the concealed weapon if he wasn't licensed lock him up! In other words ENFORCE the existing laws!

Don't see what the problem is. His reason was logical. If it was concealed, what gave anyone probable cause to suspect that he had a gun? I more people carried them, there would be less mass shootings.
