MANDARIN, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say shot his wife during a fight and fled.

It happened late Saturday. Police were called to a garage apartment at 3230 Julington Creek Road just after midnight Sunday. That's where they found gunshot holes in the door and 24-year-old Karina Leigh Jensen dead on the floor.

A witness told police 23-year-old Peter Charles John Jensen and his wife were playing video games when the two began arguing. That's when the witness says Jensen got up, retrieved a gun and shot his wife. He also shot into the door of the apartment. The witness says Jensen then pointed the gun at him but paused to reload. That's when the witness says he was able to run away and get help.

When police arrived, they say they found the door standing open with obvious shot gun damage. The victim was lying lifeless on the floor. After a four hour manhunt, Police say they found Jensen naked in a nearby shed.

Jensen was taken to UF and Shands Jacksonville and treated for drug use. He is now booked in the Duval County Jail on murder charges.
