ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A homeowner fed up with vandalism in his neighborhood caught a recent incident on camera. Police are investigating the incidents in the neighborhood just west of St. Augustine, which some people said include thefts.
“We've had to have checks reissued to us that's come up missing,” said Josh Frazetta, who installed the cameras on his property. “A lot of different people have had the same problems, items stolen.”
He said in the most recent incident, two people are seen trying to take the mailbox before running down the street when Frazetta came outside. He hopes additional cameras he installed will serve as a deterrent.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office told Action News that detectives are looking into the incident, and the agency has increased patrols in the area.
