ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The man accused of attacking at a Clay County deputy is out of the hospital, and in jail.

26-year-old Nicolas Cannady is charged with attempted murder.

In December deputies responded to a call of a man acting suicidal at an Orange Park apartment complex.

Investigators say Cannady approached an officer with a gun and the deputy fired three shots at Cannady.

Cannady was taken to Orange Park Community Hospital for treatment.  He was released Saturday and booked into the Clay County Jail.

This story does not make sense. The people need details to make better determination. Was the suspect armed? Did he shoot at the officer or not?
