Man charged with murder of Jordan Davis appears in court
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The man charged in the murder of Jordan Davis appeared in Duval County court on Thursday.
Micheal Dunn is accused of killing Jordan Davis, 17, at a Southside gas station in November 2012. Police say the unarmed teenager was shot over loud music.
Judge Russell Healey said he wants to have more frequent pre-trial conferences, and would like to decide on a trial date in October.
Dunn's next pretrial hearing will be on Oct. 9, another pre-trial hearing will take place on Oct. 24.
Dunn requested to waive his pretrial hearings, but Healy told him he needs to attend.
