FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. -- A man from Clay County is in jail facing video voyeurism charges on a child under the age of 16.
The incident reportedly happened back in April, according to the arrest warrant out of Clay County.
The warrant states Melvin Hubert Holmes, 51, "intentionally used" and installed an imaging device to "secretly view," broadcast, or record the victim without her knowledge, "at a place and time when she had a reasonable expectation of privacy." Holmes recorded the girl in her bathroom, according to investigators.
The video and images were found by Holmes' wife on his work computer, according to detectives. Holmes, according to the report, works for the Florida Times-Union.
The computer contained multiple files and folders with pictures and videos of the girl in various stages of nudity. The computer and hard drive are now with the FBI for a detailed forensic scan.
Amy McSwain, Vice President of Marketing for the Times-Union, said she was unsure how long Holmes has been employed there. McSwain also said the company does not believe that the confiscated computer is a work-issued computer.
Police arrested Holmes in Jacksonville Tuesday night and he bonded out Wednesday morning.
