Man convicted in armed robbery of hotel
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A jury today convicted a man in an armed robbery of a local hotel.
Police say Johnny Walthour, 46, and another man robbed the Hospitality Inn on 103rd Street in September of 2011.
They forced a security guard to the floor and stole money from the clerk.
Walthour will be sentenced next month for armed robbery with a firearm. He already spent time in prison for a robbery conviction in 1996.
The trial for the second suspect, LaTroy Montgomery, is pending.
