JACKSONVILLE (ActionNewsJax.com) -- A jury today found Timothy Fletcher guilty in the murder of a local grandmother.

Investigators said Fletcher broke out of jail with fellow inmate Doni Brown, and broke into Helen Googe's Putnam County home and killed her.

Police say Fletcher and Brown then stole Googe's money and car before police tracked them down in another state.

Fletcher faces the death penalty.  The sentencing phase will begin on June 11 at 9 a.m.  Brown will go on trial in July.

The jury also found Fletcher guilty of escape, grand theft, home invasion robbery, grand theft auto, and burglary.

All I want to know is HOW in today's technology did these two 'break out of jail'? This woman would still be alive if the tax dollars we spend to keep these murderous thugs in with, ARE REALLY BEING USED TO DO SO.
