JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 23-year-old man faces life in prison for robbing a local Subway restaurant.

Charles Jerome Culp, was convicted of the 2011 crime on Wednesday. Investigators say he and Cleona Housandtroutman help up the Parental Home Road location while wearing bandanas and holding handguns. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Culp has a prior conviction for robbery and was labeled a habitual felony offender. That makes him eligible for the mandatory life sentence. That hearing is set for March.

Housandtroutman remains charged with one count of armed robbery. Her trial date was not immediately set.
