Man convicted of secretly taping teenage girls
PALATKA, Fla. -- A jury found a local man guilty of secretly videotaping young girls.
The jury deliberated less than an hour before finding Frank Landon Adams guilty of four counts of video voyeurism.
Investigators say he set up a hidden camera to record two 16-year-old girls who lived at his home in Interlachen. He also set up a hidden camera in one of the teenager's bedroom closet and recorded her in the nude.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Adams destroyed evidence on his computer before detectives arrived at his home with a search warrant.
The jury convicted Adams of tampering with physical evidence and interception of oral communication. The latter charge concerns a hidden camera video showing one teen victim talking to someone on her cell phone in her bathroom when Adams walked in to strike up a conversation.
Adams faces 14 years in prison. He will be sentenced next Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
