Man dressed as a woman robs bank on Southside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office say a man dressed as a woman robbed a bank on the Southside.

It happened before noon Thursday at the Alive Credit Union on Baymeadows Road near Philips Highway.

Detective Royal with JSO tells Action news a black man wearing a wig and gold glasses entered the credit union and gave a note to the teller demanding money. The teller says they did not see a weapon.

The man left with an undetermined amount of money.

At this time it is unclear if the man fled on foot or by car.
